Everything Happens To Me' I thought was the best track on the album, Stitt and Monk play off each other just perfectly. There's a short track called Diz's rap, where he teases the British audience a bit, pretending to be West Indian. There's a strong version of 'Blue Monk', and lots of Monk on a sweet version of 'Round Midnight'. It's great and a little sad to hear the last concerts of Monk, but this is a pretty special live album  . Art Blakey is the drummer joined by Al McKibbon on bass. 1961, Victoria Theatre, London. Gillespie is in top form, playing to please, if you please. simply brilliant in ensemble and solo.

Sonny Side Up is an album by trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, and the tenor saxophonists Sonny Stitt and Sonny Rollins, recorded in December 1957 in New York City. It was released in 1959 on producer Norman Granz's newly launched Verve label. As Thomas Cunniffe has written, "The pairing of Rollins and Stitt was highly inspired. More important than their common nicknames (and the punning album title), tenor saxophonists Rollins and Stitt were both influenced by Charlie Parker, but each took a vastly different approach to improvisation  . The Giants of Jazz (with Art Blakey, Thelonious Monk, Kai Winding, 1971). The Bop Session (1975).
