The Pink Album is a 1967 album by American vocal group The Marvelettes, also their seventh LP. Recording for "The Pink Album" began in 1966. While Smokey Robinson handled much of the production, there is also production from James Dean and William Weatherspoon, who would provide material for The Marvelettes' next album. Producers felt that the group needed to offer a sound more mature and developed that contrasted their previous recordings.

Sophisticated Soul is the eighth album issued by Motown girl-group The Marvelettes. It is the first album to feature Anne Bogan who replaced Gladys Horton in 1967, although Horton's voice is featured on one of the tracks. Like many Motown albums produced in the late 1960s, Sophisticated Soul featured backing from The Andantes, Motown's premiere backing group, on certain tracks, others feature Bogan and Katherine Anderson.

A nice two-in-one CD combining two of The Marvelettes' best albums. The group was at its peak during these sessions, and were getting excellent songs and production from Smokey Robinson and outstanding musical support from the great studio band. Although the anthology album has nothing but hits, these albums didn't contain many misses.
