Willie Dixon's Blues Songbook. Авторы текста и музыки. Confessin' The Blues (Album Version).

Still Got the Blues is the eighth solo studio album by Northern Irish guitarist Gary Moore, released in 1990. It marked a substantial change in style for Moore, who, prior to this album, was predominantly known for rock and hard rock music with Skid Row, Thin Lizzy, G-Force, Greg Lake and during his own extensive solo career, as well as his jazz-fusion work with Colosseum II. As evidenced by its title, Still Got the Blues saw him delve into an electric blues style.

The Blues "White Album". The rest of the cuts feature various Telarc blues artists fronting a core group consisting of . Smith on guitar, T-Bone Wolk on bass, Peter Re on bass, and Steve Holley on drums. Lucky Peterson does an OK job on "Yer Blues," making it sound more like a straight blues song and less like the over-the-top but undeniably entertaining rant that John Lennon gave us in the original. Maria Muldaur takes a really fun, lighthearted song, "Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da," and makes it sound, well, old and tired Next up is Joe Louis Walker, who imbues "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" with a Memphis kind of sound.

Memphis Slim (3 September, 1915 in Memphis, Tennessee – 24 February, 1988 in Paris, France) was a blues pianist and singer. His birth name was John Len Chatman although he himself claimed to be born Peter Chatman (the name he gave himself in honour of his father Peter Chatman Sr. when he first recorded for Okeh in 1940). He composed the blues standards "Every Day I Have the Blues" and "Mother Earth". Memphis Slim got his start playing the blues at the Midway Café, at 357 Beale Street (southeast corner of Fourth and Beale Streets) in Memphis in 1931.

The Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album was awarded from 1983 to 2011 and from 2017 onwards. Until 1992 the award was known as Best Traditional Blues Performance and was twice awarded to individual tracks rather than albums. The award was discontinued after the 2011 Grammy season in a major overhaul of Grammy categories. From 2012 onwards, the category was merged with the Best Contemporary Blues Album category to form the new Best Blues Album category.

1990's Still Got The Blues album was an abrupt and risky game-changer that reignited the tradition of blistering British blues guitar. He used it on Still Got The Blues and the subsequent tour – and dedicated the album to Peter Green. But in 1989, exactly what form this blues album would take – or even if it would happen at all – was very much up in the air. When Bob Daisley said why don’t we do a blues album? – he meant Gary’s touring band of the moment, with keyboard player Neil Carter and drummer Chris Slade. But Carter wasn’t really into playing blues and, shortly after the tour ended, Chris Slade joined AC/DC. And Moore had other ideas
