Since their inception in 2010 Usurper of Modern Medicine have gathered immense attention with their unique hypnotic post-rock sound. Building upon the success of their EP's 'Acid Chess' (2011) and ‘Turbo Handshake’ (2012) highlights have included performing with Mono, Wire, Holy Fuck and Lightning Bolt in addition to touring Japan and New Zealand. Debut Full Length Album ‘Ominliberation’ unleashes vibrant energy, intensity and harmonically rich sonic manipulation, featuring guests including Kučka it is a sonically rich deliverance like no other.

Don’t be fooled by the name, Usurper of Modern Medicine aren’t a Tool cover band. Their debut full length record, Omniliberation sounds pretty familiar, taking its qualities, for instance, from fellow sandgropers Tame Impala and 2000s alternative Englanders, The Music. Not saying that’s a bad thing however – Usurper of Modern Medicine seems like they’re across their sound, with a forceful intent not really common amongst psychedelic or ‘experimental mind groove’ (their words) artists like them.
