Twelfth Night, or What You Will is a comedy by William Shakespeare, believed to have been written around 1601–1602 as a Twelfth Night's entertainment for the close of the Christmas season. The play centres on the twins Viola and Sebastian, who are separated in a shipwreck. Viola (who is disguised as Cesario) falls in love with Duke Orsino, who in turn is in love with Countess Olivia. Upon meeting Viola, Countess Olivia falls in love with her thinking she is a man.

William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, of What You Will, was written in 1601 or 1602 at the end of Christmastide. It is a comedy intended as entertainment at the end of the holiday season. The play is set in Illyria, and follows the story of the twins Viola and Sebastian. The play was written to be performed at Christmastide and was performed right after its completion in 1602. Shakespeare borrowed some elements of the story from Barnabe Rich's short story entitled Of Apollonius and Silla, which was in turn based on Matteo Bandello's story.

Twelfth Night: Twelfth Night, comedy in five acts by William Shakespeare, written about 1600–02 and printed in the First Folio of 1623 from a transcript of an authorial draft or possibly a playbook. Twins Sebastian and Viola are separated during a shipwreck off the coast of Illyria; each believes the other dead.
Shakespeare's sonnets almost all follow the same structure. The consist of three quatrains of four line stanza, and a final couplet written in iambic pentameter. The rhyme scheme Shakespeare used for his sonnets was: abab cdcd efef gg. Though a few sonnets are exceptions to this rule (99, 126, 145) most of the sonnets are strictly "Shakespearean.
