Causa Sui biography Founded in Odense, Denmark in 2004. In the late summer of 2004, CAUSA SUI were formed with four players, each of whom had gained his enough experience in his own hardcore metal band. With cringing at Danish pop music scene in those days, they all groped for playing progressive and experimental music, and conclusively found they should play heavy psychedelic and stoner rock they had never lost the desire to make their style with  .

Beginning with their eponymous debut album, the band has released twelve albums since 2005. Causa Sui's heavy sound is supplemented by abstract, instrumental and ambient styles akin to electric Miles Davis or Can, particularly on their 'Sessions' series of albums, which feature guest musicians.
