Gene O Quin born in Dallas, Texas 1931, Gene first made a musical impression by winning a talent contest on the Big D Jamboree. The Jamboree manager, Al Turner, became Gene& manager and secured his first recording deal in 1949 with talent records. He auditioned for lee Gillette and secured that vital contract. Much of Gene& outpost was straight Hillbilly Boogie.
