Sutja Gutierrez - The Show (Album Version) Album Version, Kelly Rowland feat. Tank - The Show Album Version. After the Show 2005 Remaster. The Death & Resurrection Show Album Version.

Shooting at the Moon is the second solo album of Kevin Ayers, on Harvest Records. After a UK tour, Ayers took the Whole World into the studio to cut an LP, produced, like his debut, with Peter Jenner.

But Ayers' pop songs are embedded in lengthier structures, overwhelmed and obscured by the framework of the album. The band's prog-like excursions - "Rheinhardt and Geraldine," "Pisser Dans un Violon," and the atmospheric "Underwater" - are interesting at times, but ultimately come off as unfocused filler that serves to frustrate the listener (note the end of "Rheinhardt").

Kevin Ayers, one of the most influential figures in the history of British psychedelia, has died. The singer-songwriter and founding member of the band Soft Machine was 68. Soft Machine are considered a key psychedelic band: part of the "Canterbury scene", alongside acts including Caravan, Egg, Gong and Hatfield and the North, the group then became a fixture at the UFO Club in London in the late 1960s. The band took their name from a William Burroughs novel, after receiving permission from the Beat author  . His most recent album was 2007's The Unfairground, which included contributions from a younger generation of artists, including members of Teenage Fanclub, Neutral Milk Hotel and Gorky's Zygotic Mynci. Born in Herne Bay, Kent, Ayers was partly brought up in east Asia by his stepfather, a district officer in British Malaysia. At the Simon Langton Grammar School in Canterbury he subsequently met future Soft Machine members Robert Wyatt and Mike Ratledge.

Herne Bay's Kevin Ayers was one of the originators of what became known as the "Canterbury Scene" and those just discovering his work will be surprised and amazed at just how prolific and influential he was, although he kept a low profile and shunned fame throughout most of his career. Love the songs Kevin Ayers has a great and unique voice. For the more serious Kevin Collectors the attraction of Live show from 1974 with radically different version of favourites 'we did it again' and 'why are we sleeping', missing some excellent songs always subjective but 'Lunatics Lament' from 'Shouting at the Moon' is a big favourite of mine with its massive Mike Oldfield Guitar solo.

Original Album Series - Kevin Ayers original album series 2015. Sort: Recent best-seller. Banana Productions: The Best Of Kevin Ayers - CD T1VG The Fast Free Shipping. We mention THE HAT SONG earlier, but SINGING A SONG IN THE MORNING, CARRIBEAN MOON or other BUTTERFLY DANCE also don't mix at all with the goodies as they show us the careless AYERS side when he is just here to have fun with his carribean rythms.
