The Soul Clan's album doesn't do a thing to build on the magic of that 45 - the set is simply padded out with solo hits by the five headliners - but anyone with an interest in vintage soul will want to lend an ear to the small but impressive legacy of the Soul Clan. Incidentally, "That's How It Feels" appears on several compilation albums - most economically on the soundtrack to the film Another Day in Paradise - while "Soul Meeting" can be found on The Very Best of Solomon Burke.

In 1981, the group reunited for a live concert in New York City (with Pickett stepping in for Arthur Conley, who was in Europe at the time), but it was the last time they would work together; Joe Tex died in 1982.

Sour Soul is a collaborative studio album from Canadian jazz instrumental hip hop band BadBadNotGood and Wu-Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah. It was released worldwide on February 24, 2015.

Soul Clan: Collective of American soul musicians led by Solomon Burke, which started in 1966 as started by Burke, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Don Covay and Joe Tex. Later, both Pickett and Redding left the collective and were replaced by fellow Atlantic artists such as Arthur Conley and Ben E. King. After the release of the minor successful R&B song, "Soul Meeting", the collective broke up in 1969. The collective, which included Pickett stepping in for Conley, who had by then settled in Europe, briefly reunited in 1981 for a brief performance before splintering for good.
