Robert Darren Brooks (born June 23, 1970) is a former American football wide receiver who attended University of South Carolina and played for the Green Bay Packers (1992–1998) and the Denver Broncos. Brooks started playing football in a pee wee league at the age of six. He then moved on to playing at Northside Junior High. He played running back until he reached college. In his senior year at Greenwood high school, he scored 14 touchdowns and gained over 700 yards.

Luckily, the man who made the celebration famous, former Packers wideout Robert Brooks, recalls in explicit detail the history of the NFL's most enduring touchdown celebration in "Jump (Into the Stands). Long story short: Brooks began the move when he saw Packers safety LeRoy Butler try and fail miserably to clear the barrier between the field and the bleachers. Choice Lyric: "My idea came from LeRoy Butler ya know, But he stuck to the wall like Velcro. A full album was planned but never released due to the music label quickly folding. Incredibly Questionable Lyric In Retrospect: "Think ya eyein' me, all along, I'm eyein' you, The hunter becomes the hunted, girl, I'm preying on you". 6. Deion Sanders: "Must Be the Money".

Robert Brooks (born June 23, 1970 in Greenwood, SC ) is a former American football wide receiver who played for the Green Bay Packers (1992-1998) and the Denver Broncos (2000). He played collegiately for the University of South Carolina (1988-1991). He led the NFL in kickoff returns in 1993 with a 2. -yard average. He came into his own in 1995, following a career-ending injury to teammate Sterling Sharpe

One of the most resilient and remarkable athletes in Packers history; Robert Brooks became the team’s main ‘Go-To’ receiver in the mid ’90’s. When the slender, 6’ 180 end amassed 1,497 receiving yards on 102 receptions in 1995, Brooks passed the great Sterling Sharpe for the team record that still stands. His 99 yard touchdown pass reception against the Bears ins still a Packer record. After his record setting season in 1995, Brooks would suffer a season ending career threatening injury in the middle of the ’96 season. Fans loved it and the ‘Leap’ became so popular Brooks had a CD single I 1995 titled Jump. He set a South Caroliina career receiving record with 19 touchdowns surpassing Sharp’s mark of 17. Little did Brooks know then that Sharpe would be his teammate agai. his time with the Packers. This article was provided courtesy of the Packers Hall of Fame.

Robert Brooks of the Green Bay Packers just hates to sit still, which, if you think about it, isn't all bad if you're a kick returner. When a couple of thousand pounds of malevolence are bearing down on you every Sunday, trying to separate you from the ball-and your senses-it's a pretty good idea to keep moving. Brooks moved around so well last year that he led the NFL in kickoff returns with a 2. He also returned punts for the Pack, finishing with a solid . -yard return average in that category
