Les Fleurs Du Mal paints in broad, impressionistic strokes, like the Vangelis-esque synth lead on "Bleached World"-one of the LP's more memorable moments, even if it's all too fleeting. Burton's compositions seem to fumble through the dark, occasionally striking something loud or surprising before returning to the shadows. It makes for an impressively foreboding listen, but the LP's slower moments might drag on for less patient listeners

I've liked just about everything Rabit has done, been a bit quiet in the last couple years so it's great to see a new album on the way. Really neat video, liked it's vibe and seems like a departure from more abstract and pretentious stuff that seems to be common among his peers. With vocal samples, but great sound design.

Burton aka Rabit, who, along with regular collaborators such as Chino Amobi (NON) and Elysia Crampton, is in part responsible for defining the contemporary conflux of avant club, folk and noise musics. On his follow-up to Communion, Rabit indulges his fascinations with psychedelic themes in an ambitious attempt to locate his sense of self amid increasingly chaotic environments.

Les Fleurs du Mal is a cover album and the fifteenth full-length album by Swedish symphonic metal band Therion. It was released on 28 September 2012 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the band. It consist of metal cover versions of French pop songs from 1960s and 1970s, mostly from the ye-ye genre.
