The actual recording from the Ford 50th Anniversary Televison Show - June 15, 1953 - Decca DU999 on Deccalite (Vinyl). This is a DJ copy that I picked up at a local PBS radio station record sale. Originally was in the KCRA/KFBK record library. When I bought the record I found a letter from Decca records to the record station managers encouraging them to play the record for their listeners. Played on the Garrard SL-95B. Ford 50th Anniversary. Ethel Merman, Mary Martin. The Ford 50th Anniversary Television Show.

Mary Martin and Ethel Me. .has been added to your Cart. The highlight of the program is Merman and Martin's 13-minute duet medley, where they sing the songs that made them famous, plus much more. On their own, Merman sings two numbers and Martin performs a brilliant comedy routine about changes in fashion over the first half of the 20th century. It was the most thrilling thing I had ever seen on television. I bought the record album and wore it out.
