Already a staple of the rap community as a popular fashion brand, Fubu extended its reach beyond fashion in late 2001, releasing its first compilation of rap music, FB Entertainment Presents: The Good Life. Released through Universal, Fubu's roster of performers includes a few big names - Nate Dogg, Nas, Ludacris, LL Cool J, Keith Murray, Beenie Man, Erick Sermon - and a lot of no-name artists. Yet, surprisingly, it's many of these no-name artists that offer the album highlights. In particular, Mr. Cheeks and Drunken Master steal the spotlight
Album of the Year is the third album by The Good Life. The enhanced CD comes with footage of videos recorded February 3, 2004, at O'Leavers in Omaha, Nebraska. Good Life" is a song by American pop rock band OneRepublic, taken from their second studio album, Waking Up (2009). The song was written by group members Ryan Tedder, Brent Kutzle, and Eddie Fisher along with group associate Noel Zancanella. It was produced by Tedder, with co-production by Kutzle and Zancanella. The song was released on November 19, 2010 as the album's third single in the United States, and as its overall fourth single.
We'd make love in the afternoons to Chelsea Girls and Bachelor Number 2 I played for her some songs I wrote She's joke and say I'm shooting through the roof I'd say, "they're all for you, dear I'll write the album of the year". And I know she loved me then I swear to god she did It's the way she'd bite my lower lip And push her hips against my hips And dig her nails so deep into my skin.
Cursive frontman Tim Kasher's third album with The Good Life ditches the Cure-informed bent of their past two LPs for its own vision. Now, I hate to be a quibbler, but perhaps Bukowski's more applicable to the emotional thrashing in Kasher's other group, Cursive. The more appropriate literary one-off for this record might be Nelson Algren, whose resurgent castaways could settle quite comfortably into the spoon-fed healing and isopropyl fumes of Kasher's newest songs

Clearly, the album’s 10 songs represent a labor of love for Sherwood, who met Squire in the ’90s and became fast friends. I would also imagine the selection of songs from the album was difficult, yet Sherwood does throw is a few curveballs. On the Silent Wings of Freedom, originally from 1978’s Tormato is a brilliant start to A Life in Yes. Since the master tapes of Tormato are missing, a Steven Wilson style remix is unlikely. Sherwood does a brilliant job capturing the essence of the song, while making it sound modern and clear. This album is excellent and the musicians who contributed their immense talent are very respectful of the Squire touch. Kudos to all involved. Chris was such a friendly person who I had the pleasure of meeting on more than one occasion. 2 people found this helpful.
