A Thin Line Between Love and Hate (original title). R 1h 48min Comedy, Crime, Drama 3 April 1996 (USA). An observable, fast-talking party man Darnell Wright, gets his punishment when one of his conquests takes it personally and comes back for revenge in this 'Fatal Attraction'-esque comic. When Kid's college money is stolen by a crooked music promoter, Play's solution is to stage the 'mutha' of all pajama parties. Starring Kid 'n Play and Martin Lawrence. Directors: George Jackson, Doug McHenry. A Thin Line Between Love & Hate deserves at least an 8 but seeing how it's an all African American cast, I guess it was rated accordingly. The sequel would be easily predetermined and not very mind bottling so the producers should leave it as is. I compare this movie to Obsessed starring Beyonce Knowles which was a mediocre movie.

Thin Line Between Love and Hate" is the title of a 1971 song by the New York City-based R&B vocal group The Persuaders. The song was written and produced by the Poindexter brothers, Robert and Richard, and was also co-written by Jackie Members. This was the group's biggest hit song, spending two weeks atop the Billboard R&B chart in late 1971. It also reached on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was a certified Gold Record by the RIAA. The song has been covered or sampled by many musical acts.
