Brian John "B. Cole (born 17 June 1946) is an English pedal steel guitarist, who has long been active as a session and solo musician. Coming to prominence in the early 1970s with the band Cochise, Cole has played in many styles, ranging from mainstream pop and rock to jazz and eclectic experimental music, but has never forgotten the instrument's roots in country music.

Cole was the premier session steel guitarist for many English artists and groups during the late '60s and '70s. Now we have the first steel guitar space music, and his abilities shine through on pieces ranging from classics such as "Clair de Lune" and Satie's "Gnossienne" to original pieces. It's ideal for modern "space cowboys.

These musicians have had a real impact on these compositions and it’s a pleasure to have their contributions on the album. Weʼve decided to do something slightly different with this release.

BJ COLE is a unique innovator on the Pedal Steel Guitar who has carved out a formidable reputation as a session musician, and established his own artistic identity with the release of five of his own albums. He has recorded with many of the great names in popular music, such as Elton John, Marc Bolan, Scott Walker, Beck, Bjork, Sting, David Sylvian and many others. In recent years such recording activities have led to BJ playing on tour dates with The Verve, REM and Sting. BJ was a founder member of the British post psychedelic band COCHISE. In 1995 BJ and his group The Transparent Music Ensemble released 'HEART OF THE MOMENT (Resurgence), a follow up album to 'Transparent Music' featuring original compositions. For the next ten years, BJ dedicated much of his time to working with DJ's and programmers in the Dance music field.
