Piano – Teddy Wilson. Producer – Timme Rosenkrantz. Tenor Saxophone – Don Byas (tracks: B1-B3), Flip Phillips (tracks: A1, A3). Notes. One of four records taken from a June, 1945 concert at Town Hall, New York City.
Stewart found regular session work throughout the 1940s with Lester Young, Fats Waller, Coleman Hawkins, Art Tatum, Johnny Guarnieri, Red Norvo, Don Byas, the Benny Goodman Sextet, and Beryl Booker, among others. One of the most famous sessions he played on took place in 1945, when Stewart played with Dizzy Gillespie's group (which featured Charlie Parker). Out of those sessions came some of the classics of bebop such as "Groovin' High" and "Dizzy Atmosphere".

On June 9, Byas and Slam Stewart played a live duet at The Town Hall. Byas led a small group for several sessions for Savoy during 1945–46 . In September 1946 Byas went to Europe to tour with Don Redman's big band in Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland, and Germany. They were the first civilian jazz big band to tour the old continent after the war. Byas remained in Europe
They formed Wilson Phillips in 1989 and their debut self titled album came the year after. It peaked at on the US Billboard Charts and in the UK charts. Being born the daughters of members of three of the most influential rock groups in history, it wasn’t hard to predict the success of this trio. If you thought Carnie and Wendy Wilson (daughters of Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys) and Chynna Phillips (daughter of John and Michelle Phillips of The Mamas & The Papas) were destined for greatness when they formed the hit vocal group Wilson Phillips in 1989, you weren’t wrong.
