Nurse & Soldier is Robertson Thacher (aka Bobby Matador of Oneida) and longtime collaborator/wife Erica Fletcher. They have been playing music together since 1993. Current lineup includes Jordyn Bonds (Permafav, Big Bear, Polaris Mine) & Stephanie Rabins (Company, Chris & Stephanie).

The collaboration called Nurse & Soldier feature Oneida's Bobby Matador and his longtime love, Erica Fletcher (aka Rockie). Before the era of Oneida, the initial noise rock rumblings of Nurse & Soldier came together in the late '90s out of the ashes of the couple's previous group, Karaoke Hustler. A six-song EP for Trifectaa Records quickly came and went in spring 1999; two years later, Nurse & Soldier issued the 16-song full-length Ancient History before disappearing into indie rock obscurity. During this time, Matador and Fletcher got married and had a family, but Matador continued recording and performing with Oneida while Fletcher finished graduate school. It would be several years (and a move from Brooklyn to Boston in 2004) before Nurse & Soldier would resume making their mysterious psych pop.

Nurse & Soldier's Marginalia is gentle, bewildered psych-pop from the partnership of Robertson Thacher (aka Bobby Matador of Oneida) and longtime collaborator Erica Fletcher. The two have been making music together since their teenage years, a long history reflected in the intimate nature of the music. Far more vulnerable and raw than Oneida, Nurse & Soldier sing about longing, betrayal and reconciliation; the sound of Marginalia is a confused murmur, as opposed to Oneida's punishing roar.
