The Very Best Definitive Ultimate Greatest Hits Collection is a two-disc compilation album by American band Faith No More. It was released on June 1, 2009 in the UK to coincide with the band's reunion tour. This double disc set contains the band's greatest hits on the first CD, while the second CD features B-sides and rarities.
Houses of the Holy’ (1973). Led Zeppelin IV firmly established Led Zeppelin as the biggest and best band of the 1970s, and during a long and triumphant tour in support of the disc, they began writing songs for the follow-up. Houses of the Holy was recorded in New York and various studios throughout England, and it showed the band moving past their blues rock roots. The track listing almost reads like a greatest hits collection: "Whole Lotta Love," "Thank You," "Heartbreaker," "What Is And What Should Never Be" and "Bring It On Home. The band's punishing tour schedule infused them with new passion and creativity, and they really learned how to function as a unit. And if you ask us, they'll probably be blasting in in their flying cars forty-two years from now. It will never go away, and it never should. In This Article: Jimmy Page, John Bonham, John Paul Jones, Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant.

NME rounds up the best 'Best Of' and 'Greatest Hits' albums ever, featuring The Beatles, Oasis, Pink Floyd, The Who and David Bowie. Here are the essential ones for any music lover's collection. But don’t let Partridge fool you. Best of’s can somehow manage to ignore a band’s actual appeal, throwing in big-selling hits and ignoring the rest. Either that, or they have the distinct whiff of a record company cash-in. The classic Beatles best-ofs are split into two, 'The Red Album', dealing with the moptop years, and 'The Blue Album', dedicated to the psychedelic second half of their career. A must for fans thanks to its non-album singles and impeccable run of hits. Best track: the fuzzed-up version of 'Revolution'. Big omission: Fan-favourite 'Hey Bulldog'.
McCartney rode the wave of excitement from the Beatles’ Anthology with Flaming Pie, named for an old Lennon joke about the band’s origins. The title track is at once rocking and bizarre, with a from-nowhere New Orleans piano breakdown and acid-trip lyrics. After years of doing his best to ignore critics who saw him as a starry-eyed fool for love, McCartney struck back with this disco smash. What’s wrong with that? I’d like to know, he sings over a giddy bass line and lush strings. The song became one of McCartney’s biggest hits, cracking the Top 10 in both the . To this day, it has a choice spot in his stadium and arena sets, complete with eyebrow-singe-ing pyrotechnics.
A collection of 29 tracks, including then hard-to-find non-album singles and special duets, the former one-half of Wham! scored the biggest selling album of his incredible career with this 1998 set. It was the mist-have Christmas present of that year, staying at Number 1 for eight weeks over the festive period. Robbie Williams' 2004 Greatest Hits just misses out on a Top 10 placing but has still sold . 1 million copies, and Tina Turner's 1991 hits collection Simply The Best has shifted an impressive . 7 million copies. Here's the Official Top 10 biggest selling greatest hits albums: TITLE.
