Mixed Up is a 1990 remix album by British rock band The Cure. The songs are remixes of some of their hits, reflecting the popularity of remixing of existing songs and dance culture of the late 1980s and early 1990s. In 2018, a sequel was released titled Torn Down. Most of the songs are extended mixes.
Mixed Up is a 1990 remix album by British alternative rock band The Cure. The Cure also released some other new mixes as the b-sides of the singles from Mixed Up: the first single, "Never Enough", featured a remix of "Let's Go To Bed", entitled "Let's Go To Bed (Milk Mix)" (on the 12", cassette and CD versions), as well as a new song, "Harold and Joe", while the second single, "Close to Me.

Mixed Up was originally envisioned by Robert Smith to be a collection of previously released remixes of Cure songs until he heard a recent remix of Pictures Of You that inspired him to make the album a hybrid of old mixes and newly-created ones, especially since some master tapes for the band’s songs (like A Forest and The Walk ) were lost. After touring for Disintegration, Smith was the only remaining founding member of the band. As with several previous albums, rumours began to fly about the band breaking up and there being no next album with Smith telling Sassy Magazine. f we don’t.

Most of the remixes are quite radical, leaving only the bare bones of the original song. There are enough oddities and rare tracks on Mixed Up to make it necessary for Cure fans, but it's too specialized for casual listeners.
