The Oude Kerk presents itself in various ways: three or four international and high-profile exhibitions a year, numerous activities, permanent collection presentations and wonderful near-weekly concerts, to name but a few. In 2013, after careful restoration, the monumental church building was reopened to the public with a new programme centring on art. Different artists ‘perform’ site-specific pieces in the church space three times a year

The Oude Kerk (English: Old Church) is Amsterdam’s oldest building and oldest parish church, founded circa 1213 and consecrated in 1306 by the bishop of Utrecht with Saint Nicolas as its patron saint. After the Reformation in 1578, it became a Calvinist church, which it remains today. It stands in De Wallen, now Amsterdam's main red-light district. The square surrounding the church is the Oudekerksplein.

The Nieuwe Kerk (Dutch:, New Church) is a 15th-century church in Amsterdam located on Dam Square, next to the Royal Palace. Formerly a Dutch Reformed Church parish, it now belongs to the Protestant Church in the Netherlands. The Nieuwe Kerk is no longer used for church services but is used as an exhibition space. It is also used for organ recitals. There is a café in one of the buildings attached to the church that has an entrance to the church (during opening hours).

Oude Kerk Gemeente Amsterdam, Amsterdam. De Oude Kerk is de oudste kerk van Amsterdam. De Oude Kerk Gemeente biedt wekelijks ruimte voor rust en bezinning in het drukke leven en centrum,.

De Oude Kerk features things characteristic for the Catholic cathedrals across Europe. Like sculpted misericords in the choir, high windows full of light, impressive old gravestones on its floor and exceptional architecture. It is thaks to these that it is one of the tourist highlights of Amsterdam. Originally built in the 13th century out of wood but at the end of 13th century rebuilt to a stone church.

The Oude Kerk, the oldest building in Amsterdam. As its name implies, the Oude Kerk is the oldest church in Amsterdam with a history dating back to the early fourteenth century. Most of its decoration was demolished during the Reformation, when Calvinists destroyed sculptures and ornaments. The church is located at a small square right in the middle of the red light district, surrounded by shops and cafés. Several small houses from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries lean against the church's walls. As early as in the thirteenth century, a wooden chapel was built at the site of the Oude Kerk.

De Nieuwe Kerk Amsterdam offers high-profile exhibitions about art, photography, and inspiring individuals and cultures. The imposing gothic building stems from 1408 and is also in use for national and royal events. It is located in the heart of Amsterdam, with the visitor entrance on Dam square. Public transportation De Nieuwe Kerk is located on Dam Square, Amsterdam. It is a 10 minutes’ walk from Central Station. Subway: M52, station Rokin. Trams: nearly all trams to and from Central Station stop at Dam Square
