Jacqueline Du Pré: Favourite Cello Concertos. In the Schumann, du Pré makes an eloquently passionate protagonist. A similar sense of excitement is to be heard in Dvorák's Concerto-performed near the end of her career-above all in the flame of inspiration she evidently sparks from the orchestra in the serene close of its slow movement. This is a supremely rewarding collection for the beginner and aficionado alike.

Jacqueline Du Pré: Favourite Cello Concertos All through her far-too-brief career, cellist Jacqueline du Pré exhibited an almost oracular power of communication. Her performances bristled with the type of brilliant electricity that could change lives and convert listeners to a lifelong love of music. Happily, it’s conceivable to experience a sense of that power from the recordings du Pré completed before more than one sclerosis halted her career as a performer in the early 1970s

The album included the following session artists: Cello. Composed By. Antonín Dvořák. Joseph Haydn. Find mp3 free Favourite Cello Concertos. Haydn: Cello Concerto In D Major, Op. 101. ? Get here. A1. 1st Movement: Allegro Moderato.

Du Pré (1945-1987) was a leading performer of the mid-20th century, and the first woman cellist to establish an international career. Favourite Cello Concertos. EMI Music Distribution, Warner Classics.

Jacqueline Mary du Pré, OBE (26 January 1945 – 19 October 1987) was an English cellist. At a young age, she achieved enduring mainstream popularity unusual for a classical performer  . Du Pré became a favourite at the Proms, returning every year until 1969. In 1965, at age 20, du Pré recorded the Elgar Concerto for EMI with the London Symphony Orchestra and Sir John Barbirolli, which brought her international recognition. Nupen made other films featuring du Pré, including Jacqueline du Pré and the Elgar Cello Concerto, a documentary featuring a live performance of the Elgar; and The Ghost, with Barenboim and Zukerman in a performance of the "Ghost" Piano Trio in D major, by Beethoven.
