Tommy Flanagan (actor). Tommy Flanagan (born 3 July 1965, Glasgow) is a Scottish film and television actor. Born in Easterhouse, Glasgow, as a child he served as an altar boy. Flanagan is the third of five children. His distinctive facial scars, known as a "Glasgow smile", are the result of a knife attack outside a nightclub where he had been working as a DJ. Personal life.

Thomas Lee Flanagan (March 16, 1930 – November 16, 2001) was an American jazz pianist and composer. He grew up in Detroit, initially influenced by such pianists as Art Tatum, Teddy Wilson, and Nat King Cole, and then by the newer bebop musicians. Within months of moving to New York in 1956, he had recorded with Miles Davis and on Sonny Rollins' landmark Saxophone Colossus.
