This album is a colorful garden of delights consisting of R'n'B and rock'n'roll based songs from the 1940s to the early 1960s that all have this slightly exotic, dark and mystical feeling from the melody structures and instrumentation. Most of the tunes at hand sound astonishingly fresh and timeless. EDDIE COLE & THREE PEPPERS with their hypnotizing groover Police for example present a Caribbean mento with a mambo and rhythm'n'blues feel. The beat will drag you directly from your seat and make you swing on the dancefloor.

This report turned out to be somewhat true. The album’s only listed feature is kiLL edward, who turned out to actually be J. Cole, pitched down. What do the three definitions of ". mean? In the official album trailer, Cole elaborated on all three meanings: Kids On Drugs. If I turn on the TV right now, it’s not gon' take long for there to be an advertisement that pops up that says Are you feeling down? Have you been having lonely thoughts? And then they shove a pill in your face. The first response of any problems is medicate. The only discernible difference Cole and his alter-ego is that kiLL edward’s vocals are pitched-down, which is apparent in the examples below.
The third album by Jack and Meg White was the right dynamite for a mainstream breakthrough. Jack’s Delta-roadhouse fantasies, Detroit-garage-rock razzle and busted-love lyricism, as well as Meg’s toy-thunder drumming all peaked at once. These three Minneapolis dudes played savagely emotional hardcore punk that became a big influence on Nirvana, among others. The Hüskers created a rorar like garbage trucks trying to sing Beach Boys songs, especially on the anthems Celebrated Summer and Perfect Example. Earth, Wind and Fire, ‘That’s the Way of the World’. Before he got into African thumb pianos and otherworldly philosophizing, EWF founder Maurice White was a session drummer at Chess Studios.
